No one should worry about the national debt.
The entire subject is a waste of time.
The national debt means nothing because it’s not like the debt you have with.a car or house loan.
It’s not like your personal debt because you can’t print money in order to pay back your debts.
Plus, not one of you have paid one single penny into relieving that national debt. Nobody comes to your house and extracts some money from you.
Nor will they ever – despite the politicians making you think that they will.
And as far as the scare tactics that the national debt is 30+ trillion dollars and growing, let me ask you a question: How do you make 30 trillion disappear? You print up 30 quadrillion. And when you want to make that disappear, you print up 30 quintillion … and so on.
Now, this has been going on for sometime now, so why does nobody else in the world care? Why don’t the Chinese care. Since they are holding our debt shouldn’t they care whether we print up money like crazy?
- Because other countries are doing the same thing. They are in on the same scam with their own peeps.
- Because the US is the strongest motherfucker on the block and can do what it. wants.
- Because the US is the world’s reserve currency and is going to be for some time. The American Empire is far from finished.
- Because China is chained at the hip with us, and we are chained at the hip with China. We’re stuck with each other.
For these reasons, you shouldn’t lose one minute of sleep over the national debt.
Don’t even begin with the inflation argument. If we paid for the national debt through loss of purchasing power we would have been flat busted broke long ago. In the long run inflation is neutral as money is disseminated throughout the population
Congress loves talking about the national debt. It’s a distraction to keep you from worrying about important things like immigration, NAFTA, CAFTA, homelessness, affordable healthcare, excessive military spending to ensure plenty of profits for Corporate America. By the way, in the latest deal that just passed the House, military spending goes up 3%. All else stays the same.
When Reagan was President the pundits and politicians were obsessing about the national debt when the debt was 738 billion. Now it’s in the trillions, and yet America is still here. And in 50 years the national debt will be in the quadrillions, and guess what, America will still be here. And in 100 years the national debt will be in the quintillions, and guess what, America will still be here.
National Debt crisis?
Please. Yawn. Goodbye.
Don’t waste my time with your political sideshow..
