Letting It Go

Have you ever been slighted in your life?

Has someone been really rude to you?

Do you feel like kicking their ass?

How about ejecting them from a moving F-16?

Maybe a close friend has betrayed you, or so do you think?

What should you do?

Get out the bayonet?

Well …

You have to evaluate the pluses and minuses of your relationship with the friend who has slighted you.

Nobody is perfect, and sometimes you have to accept that certain people just don’t have certain capabilities within them.

They may be tone deaf to certain niceties or protocols of behavior.

But, they may have other things that make the relationship worthwhile.

Sometimes we have to overlook things.

It’s not a good idea to jettison everybody who’s ever slighted you in your life.

If you do, you’ll end up with no friends.
