Cowboy Archer

Here it is, baby! The truth you don’t want to handle.

Warning: It’s safer to go back to mainstream media where you can look the other way as America slaughters the world.

Aaaaaargh!

Please lie to me, Walt. I’m begging you. Please give me a quick fix of The Little Mermaid now! Tell me that we Americans are always the good guys and that the rest of the people of the world are a pack of suffering animals who require Americans to bestow our beautiful democracy upon them.

Tesla in Trouble

So why is Elon Musk in China?

He’s there because his company, Tesla, is faltering and he wants to boost the company’s position.

So he’s off to China to find a new group of suckers.

Good luck.

Tesla is faltering because electric cars are not there.

The people have spoken.

They don’t want electric cars.

And why don’t they want electric cars?

Because they want to travel 250 to 300 miles without waiting an hour for a charge.

They also don’t want their battery power to drain significantly after purchasing the car.

Nor do they want to suffer any chemical explosions which are fierce.

The bottom line is this: electric cars have a long way to go.

How long do they have to go?

Let’s look to Steve Jobs and Apple Computer for an answer.

The Apple Newton debuted in 1993.

It was not a success. It was groundbreaking, and it was new, and it seemed like a good idea, but it wasn’t.

The technology wasn’t there.

It took Steve Jobs 16 years to develop the iPhone for mass production.

In that period of time technology advanced.

That’s what needs to happen for the electric vehicle. The technology isn’t there.

If it’s not there, it’s not there.

There’s no getting around it.

Wishing isn’t going to make it come about.

The problem is the lithium battery itself.

Lithium is not a common element.

It isn’t found ubiquitously around the world.

In addition, the safety of the lithium battery is concerning..

People want safety. They don’t want to get burned up in their car.

Therefore, we are going to have to wait until something new comes along.

There is no telling when that will come along.

Until then we are going to have to get by with gas powered vehicles

Elon Musk doesn’t want to confront that reality.

Yet if he wants to save Tesla, he needs to for the time being figure out a way to retrofit his Teslas to include a gas engine.

There may be no way to do that.

If that is the case, then he needs to shelve the project in mothballs until technology catches up.

Until that point in time, he’s playing a con game.

Sincerely,

Archer Crosley
