There are a lot of steps that a virus has to go through to go from one species to the other. It’s not an easy pathway. And it doesn’t seem likely that this happened in a wet market. My gosh, we’ve had wet markets since man began to engage in commerce. Maybe they called them something else, but they were wet markets.
