The Right to Exist

From time to time, we will hear the media talk about Israel’s right to exist.

This will often be mentioned within the context of a supposed Jew-hater saying that Israel has no right to exist.

What does it mean to have a right to exist? Does any nation have the right to exist?

I would say that a nation’s right to exist is dependent upon its behavior.

Did Germany have the right to exist after World War II?

I would say no.

Apparently, God thought so also because he destroyed the Third Reich through the efforts of more moral men and women.

Germany, after the war was a near wasteland of ruined buildings, hunger, and devastation.

Therefore, the defenders of Israel, rather than concerning themselves about what a protester thinks about Israel, should be concerned about what God thinks about Israel.

God cares, whereas our leaders may not.

So . . does God care about what Israel is doing to the people of Gaza?

I think God does care.

In that event, Israel and its defenders might think twice about the war they’re waging against the Palestinians.

One of its leaders, Bezalel Smotrich , recently called for the invasion of Rafah which I imagine would result in mass destruction of the Palestinians.

I am pretty sure that’s what he desires.

He seemed as committed as any fervent Nazi.

This is bad news for Israel.

God is watching.

God sees everything.
