Is America strong, or is America weak?
There are many who believe in America is strong. They equate military force with strength.
It is true that America military force is predominant throughout the world. We have many bases and many allies.
Our technology is so far unsurpassed
Nevertheless, America is weak.
Strength is not a brass band, chest pounding, bragging, or boots on the ground.
A nation is strong when it takes care of its own people.
America fails miserably in that test.
We have unparalleled disparity in wealth, massive numbers of homeless, an unacceptable degree of drug addiction, and many hard-working, middle class people who are unable to afford healthcare insurance.
Americans are obese, ill read on foreign affairs, and largely ignorant of the abuses of their own government.
Americans care more about Walt Disney and Taylor Swift, than they do of the murder of innocent Palestinian children.
America’s CIA acts in a dishonorable and unchristian manner to disrupt the lives of innocent people who are working earnestly in their countries to produce a quality of life that we take for granted.
These problems and issues make us weak.
