As I enter the state of Florida to visit my sister, I think it’s appropriate for me to talk about Ron Desantis, the current governor of Florida.
Should he run for President?
No.
He should stay in Florida, and fix Florida.
If he is genuine in his beliefs, if he is not playing a game with us, if he goes to Washington DC, and if he tries to prosecute the ideas that he is currently talking about, they will chew him up and spit him out.
He will not get one of his ideas prosecuted successfully.
He has no chance to defeat the oligarchy in Washington DC.
It appears currently as if they don’t want him anyway.
If he thinks his Yale degree will help him win the day, he is wrong.
I don’t care what connections he has.
This is why he should stay in Florida.
What we need is for Florida to be fixed.
In Florida, he has a chance.
In Washington DC, he has no chance.
If we can get the governors of each state to fix their state, we will be much better off.
The problem is the federal government.
The problem is the major corporations that are bedfellows with the federal government.
What we need is for the states to be stronger.
In moving slow and methodically, we can turn things around in this country.
You can’t be do it with one giant fell swoop in Washington DC.
Wars are won one battle at a time.
With each state working to fix their state, even as the federal government tries to ruin each state, we can overwhelm Washington DC.
Washington DC must be attacked not with a unified voice, but with an irregularly irregular effort from multiple vantage points around the country.
This is how you overwhelm a central government.
When this is done, and when the federal government becomes plenty black and blue with bruises, the federal government will soon get off its high horse, come down to the states and ask them to speak with a unified voice.
This ruse must be resisted.
That’s exactly what Washington DC would hope that the states would do.
If the states pay heed and speak with a unified voice, that unified voice will bargain away any leverage that the states have.
Washington DC would love nothing better than to dismiss the states with one simple no.
No, the best way is to punch and punish the federal government all over its body from different angles, until the federal government twists in the wind and dies.
Ron DeSantis is doing a great job in Florida as it is.
Let him continue the job.
Let him walk away from the Presidency.
It’s better to make Florida stronger.
It’s better to make all states stronger.
We don’t make the state stronger by sending our strong governors as cannon fodder to Washington DC.
Ron DeSantis needs to stay in Florida, and fix it, so that a thousand administrations hence could not ruin it.
Stay out of Washington, Ron.
There is no happiness there.
Sincerely,
Archer Crosley
